Woodpeckers! I love Woodpeckers. Such beautiful birds. Around here we see a lot of Downy, Hairy, and Red-Bellied Woodpeckers. The juvenile birds are adorable and funny as they try to get the hang of using a bird feeder. Here are some of my favorite Woodpecker photos. As you can see below, I am especially fond of the Red-Bellied Woodpecker. I've tons, but just picked out a few to share.

As soon as I'm reasonably sure that the Black Bears are hibernating, I'll put out suet for the Woodpeckers and other winter avian visitors.
These are AMAZING! I'm trying to think if I've ever seen a woodpecker before, and sadly I dont think that I have. So this was great. Such stunning markings
ReplyDeleteThank you. I used to sit for hours and hours outside not moving to snap the photos. After a while the birds got used to me being there. Made it easier to get the photos.
