TQ: Describe the Accidentally Catty in 140 characters or less.
Dakota: Cougar-aged vet meets hunky, allegedly younger shapeshifting cougar w/amnesia. Much wonking and mayhem ensues. Much. And then there's Nina.
TQ: How have the dynamics between Marty, Nina and Wanda changed since the first book in the Accidental series, The Accidental Werewolf?
Dakota: I think they're tighter than they've ever been and they really, really know each other. They know each other's limits (especially when it comes to Nina), and their identities in the friendship are more clearly defined. And no matter how much they argue, disagree on their paranormal crisis tactics, no matter how many designer discount outlet malls Marty drags Nina to, in the end, they're always there for each other.
TQ: Who is your favorite character or characters to write?
Dakota: Probably whomever I'm writing at the time. I can't choose because they each have unique qualities that make them enjoyable or difficult. Though, I can tell you, writing Nina is the absolute best way to blow off some steam and use the foulest language evah.
TQ: Without giving anything away, what it your favorite scene or scenes in Accidentally Catty?
Dakota: Hmmmm, probably when Katie finds out she has a rare, unique ability that I can't tell you about because it'll spoil it. But, yeah. Oh, and the tweeting. It cracks me up that the girls have an account for OOPS and tweet. But that might just be me...
TQ: What is the playlist for the Accidentally Catty?
Dakota: I have the same playlist for every book and it's always one without lyrics. If I have lyrics, I'm screwed because I'm the lyrics savant. So Vivaldi, Kenny G., some Paganini, and even a little Zamfir :)
TQ: How many books are planned for the Accidental series?
Dakota: Believe it or not, there are two more. Accidentally Dead Again in which I write my first ever accidental dude and Nina finds out she has a half-sister, and the as yet decided upon Accidental Djinn/Genie/Jeannie--Jeannie being the heroine's name. :)
TQ: What's next? /this is where you tell me about your upcoming books, etc./
Dakota: Well, I'm in the midst of Accidentally Dead Again, and hoping I get to write more in my contemp series. Next release is Burning Down The Spouse on July 5, 2011, the second in my contemp series!

Dakota has written a lot of books in addition to the ones listed above including Kiss & Hell (Hell 1) and My Way to Hell (Hell 2).
Her goals in life are simple, (like really simple): banish the color yellow forever, create world peace via hot rollers and Aqua Net; and finally, nab every tiara in the land by competing in the Miss USA, Miss Universe, and Miss World pageants, then sweeping them in a stunning trifecta of much duct tape and Vaseline usage, all in just under one week. Oh, and write really fun books!
Dakota lives in Texas with her two sons, her mother, more cats and dogs than the local animal shelter and has a husband who puts the heroes in her books to shame.
