Some Miscellaneous Stuff - Space Shuttles & Angry Brooks - March 7, 2011

This awesome video from NASA caught my eye today. I'm a huge fan of the space program and think the Shuttles are amazing. I also love Star Trek.

STS-133 "Star Trek" Wakeup Call
William Shatner, who played Captain James T. Kirk on the original Star Trek television series, provided a special message to the crew of space shuttle Discovery during the Flight Day 12 wakeup call.

Something happened this morning that I do not recall happening before around here. School was canceled due to flooding. I stopped by Hop Brook today. Hop Brook is a very low and slow brook. Not today. It looks angry. I've thought of rivers, brooks, streams, etc. a bit differently since reading Midnight Riot / Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch. Since Ben will be back at The Qwillery tomorrow, these photos are oddly appropriate.
